Illegal trade finds 2 new orchid species

Never before known to science, we recently found 2 new orchid species hidden amongst Thailand's illegal wild plant markets. Following dozens of surveys of markets that sell wild-collected protected plants, we noticed several distinctive species, including the newly-described Bulbophyllum anodon and Bulbophyllum dasystachys. What are the implications of discovering new species via illegal trade?
