BELS Network: Biodiversity & Environmental Liability Scholars

I am pleased to be working with Rika Fajrini and the IUCN World Commission on Environmental Law's Biodiversity Law Specialist Group to convene the new Biodiversity & Environmental Liability Scholars Network. Our global group of scholars brings together leading researchers working on environmental liability legislation as responses to environmental harm.

Our inaugural meeting in March 2023 explored the participants’ various research interests on the topic of remedy-focused environmental liability. We aim to hold bimonthly meetings where members can share and discuss their current research projects in the field of environmental liability litigation.
