The Center of Excellence for Environmental Decisions at University of Queensland, led by Duan Biggs, hosted a workshop in South Africa on the relationship between communities and enforcement in tackling illegal wildlife trade.

Following the "Beyond Enforcement" symposium, this workshop brought together a small group of scientists* to integrate lessons, consider policy implications, and write about the relationships between community-based conservation and State enforcement-based conservation.

*Workshop participants: Rosie Cooney, Diane Skinner, Holly Dublin, David Wilkie, Aidan Keane, James Allan, Dilys Roe, dan Challender and Max Abensperg-Traun.
