Following a few years in Indonesia, and 7 in Southeast Asia, I've made the transition to the Lancaster Environment Centre. I am really enjoying my new setting and colleagues, and am looking forward to building the new Tropical Environmental Change and Policy Lab.

  • Established in 2007 to combine existing programmes in Geography, Environmental Sciences and Biological Sciences. It is a multidisciplinary group, that includes everything from environmental social scientists, geomorphologists, plant biologists to political ecologists.

  • Ranked in the top 10 Universities in the UK (2016 Guardian University Guide)

  • Best value for money university in the UK (Telegraph)

  • 60+ faculty, in facilities shared with the UK Environment Agency, 26 businesses, and Natural Environment Research Council’s Centre for Ecology and Hydrology

  • On the doorstep of the Lake District, Forest of Bowland, Lune Valley and Pennies. It's a spectacular setting.
