Why Perceptions Matter in Conservation

People’s perceptions as central to conservation, but often differ and are left unstated. This talk will draw on global examples to explore the multiple ways in which perceptions shape how we make decisions about the environment, whether about to trade ivory, how to reduce forest fires or how to place economic values on the environment.
